Flossing gets rid of plaque and bacteria that you cannot reach with your toothbrush. That’s about one-third of your tooth surface that flossing can get to. Plaque is the main cause of gum disease. If you don’t want gum disease, make flossing your new year’s resolution. You’ll have better, healthier teeth by the end of the year (likely even sooner)!
